Introducing Derrick Webster
We caught up with Derrick to find out a bit about his background, what makes him tick, and what he gets up to when he isn’t supporting his broker network.
I’ve worked in the equipment finance industry for over 20 years. Throughout that time, I’ve worked across all types of distribution channels, financing some weird and wonderful equipment – everything from trampolines and paddle boats through to trains and planes.
I have recently joined Resimac Asset Finance, a consumer and SME lender within the Resimac Group that offers broker partners and their clients with a real point of difference. Previously known as IA Group, the company has been operating in the equipment finance industry for two decades.
Our breadth of experience and expertise in this space means we understand the needs and concerns of our customers, and we provide brokers with the clarity and consistency they’re looking for in a funding partner. We know that brokers and their clients need to be confident that when the time comes to purchase new machinery, they’ll have an approved funding facility and funds will be available in a timely manner.
I thoroughly enjoy helping brokers and their clients find innovative solutions for their needs. There’s certainly an ongoing educational aspect to it as well, informing the market about just how flexible equipment finance products can be, and how it enables customers to obtain the equipment they need to grow their business.
When I’m not supporting my brokers and their customers, I keep busy as an amateur beekeeper, a rugby union follower, motorbiker, and a kelpie lover.
